Grand Canyon South Entrance – Approximately 2 hours from Sedona. Arrive at entrance gate before 10am to ensure a parking space and fewer crowds. A bus system takes visitors to viewpoints. Lots to see. Recommend a walk down Bright Angel Trail to get a sense of being in the canyon. Also, there is a Trail of Time with interpretive signs spanning 2.83 miles along the rim. Begin at the historic El Tovar restaurant. Nearby Tusayan offers hotels outside the park entrance.
