Minimize environmental impact: Walk softly on the land. Listen to the sounds of nature and find the moments of complete silence. Travel by public transportation such as the Verde Shuttle, a route connecting Cottonwood and Sedona, Sedona Shuttle Connect, and the Sedona Shuttle Trailhead  Routes. Walk or bike when possible, carry reusable items, and practice Leave No Trace principles, especially when exploring natural areas.

Choose low-impact activities: Choose activities that have minimal ecological impact, such as hiking, birdwatching, or cultural tours, and avoid activities that exploit animals or degrade the environment.

Engage in community-based tourism: Take part in activities that directly benefit local communities, such as volunteering or supporting local initiatives.

Ask about the environmental policies when booking accommodations and services and choose eco-friendly accommodations: Choose hotels and lodges with eco-certifications or sustainable practices, such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and responsible water use.

Support local economies: Buy from local artisans, eat at locally owned restaurants, and participate in activities led by local guides or businesses.

Be mindful of your consumption: Reduce single-use plastics, conserve water, and be aware of your waste generation.
